Hearing Dogs, a charity based organisation that offers people with hearing impairments the opportunity of living a fuller life. Hearing Dogs helps people with the daily tasks that many of us take for granted - for example the morning alarm clock, the front door bell and most importantly noises that can be the matter of life or death, like fire alarms. Based in Saunderton Buckinghamshire, dogs are specially selected and trained for the working life ahead of them. Rage Design created a new website for the organisation which included a new look, Content Management, a Shopping Cart, Optimisation for Search Engines and Analytics. The Website launched a couple of months ago and reports suggest already that sales are up on last year and the new design and layout of the website is bring more people to the website and introducing them to the great work that Hearing Dogs do. Hearing Dogs began working with Rage Design in late 2007 to look at a complete redesign of our current website. Our aims were to both refresh the look of the site to reflect a more contemporary feel and also to soften the appearance of the site. The initial designs came back with a perfect interpretation of this brief and the introduction of a new accent colour to our brand palette as well as an amended layout and graded colours reducing the boxy/CMS appearance of our current site. Rage have been understanding from the start that as a Charity our organisation works rather differently from other website clients and that many issues needed to be discussed by a range of individuals to allow for relevant departments such as operations, PR,HR, marketing and fundraising to gain as much as possible from the site. The site is not a small one and the management of the project can't have been an easy role, but a close working relationship between the account manager and website team at Hearing Dogs have allowed us to get all of the many pages completed and overcome the development and teething issues which are inevitable with website projects. The process has been clear throughout and the Rage team have been happy to explain elements of the site and suggest ideas for further development. I'm thrilled with the overall result and very much looking forward to launching the site in the next week.

Hearing Dogs, a charity based organization, offers people with hearing impairments the opportunity of living a fuller life with the provision of a fully trained hearing dog. Hearing Dogs assist people with daily tasks that many of us take for granted - for example the morning alarm clock, the front door bell and most importantly noises that can be the matter of life or death, like fire alarms. Based in Saunderton Buckinghamshire, dogs are specially selected and trained for the working life ahead of them. Rage Design created a new website for the organisation which included a new look, content management, shopping cart, optimisation for Search Engines and Analytics. The Website launched late last year suggests that donations are up on last year, and the new design and layout of the website is attracting more people to the website and informing them of the great work that Hearing Dogs do, which in turn is driving interest for more volunteers and more applications.
Rage Design are also engaged in a phase two development for the new website, which includes a new kids section and other additions that will take the website to the next level in providing information and maximizing donations.
